The Domaine de Millepetit is situated on the banks of the picturesque Canal du Midi and is only a 10 minute drive from Carcassonne and its famous, mediaeval town, “La Cite”. Millepetit briefly appeared on TV chef, Rick Stein’s “French Odyssey” whilst going along the canal. This stretch of the Canal du Midi is widely regarded as the prettiest with its 400 year old plane trees, interesting curves and beautiful views of vineyards and mountains

Domaine de Millipetit movieThe gites are situated on a small working arable estate overlooked by the Chateau de Millepetit and its 12th Century tower.

The domaine still produces its own wine and a variety of fruit and vegetables, all of which can be sampled and bought from the farmer.

During the summer months the domaine can become livelier with the harvests, and of course the unique spectacle of the vendange (grape harvest).

Millepetit and its surroundings are suitable for those who appreciate the beauty of the countryside in a farm environment whilst combining it with boating along the Canal du Midi, walking and cycling along the towpaths, exploring the hills and mountains whilst discovering the history and culture of the Languedoc Roussillon region. In such a diverse region, you can enjoy sunbathing on beaches or skiing in the mountains, depending on the time of year.
