We also have a supply of board games; some of which will take you back to your youth. You’ll find, backgammon and travel scrabble, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards, plus a broad selection of both French and English language books. You will also find a large activity pack, full of information on the area, with ideas and suggestions of what to see and do during your stay.

	Outside… By the side of the house next to the old water pump, it’s only a garden feature now, there you'll find our herb garden, planted with aromatic plants…feel free to help yourselves for cooking. Garden Crossing our curious little bridge over the canal, brings you to a paddock where the farmer keeps his goat and horses, adjacent to here we have created a more secluded garden with shade, fruit and olive trees. At the end of the garden next to the almond tree you'll find under the pergola, a table, chairs with sun-loungers available on request. Take some shade whilst taking in the breathtaking views of the Alaric and Corbiere mountains… that are also worth exploring. Garden dimensions 1,000 metres sq. Canal-side terrace There is a small private canal side terrace, complete with teak table, chairs and parasol. It’s an ideal spot enjoy a glass of the local wine whilst watching boats amble along the canal…life at a slower pace Your Neighbours. Local Fishing	If you enjoy fishing, you only need to stray as far as the end of the garden, keeping to this side of the canal a two-minute walk takes you down to the River Aude, a great spot for fishing… according to the locals, or alternatively, pull up a chair and fish on the canal banks for carp, bream and catfish. You can buy a fishing permit or ‘Carte de Pêche de Vacances’ allowing you any category of fishing for 15 consecutive days, in the Aude region, it currently costs 28 euros Daily and annual permits are also available. The 15-day permit can be purchased at any local Tabac.
